Instant Lite accounts are designed to support responsible trading practices.
Certain strategies and trading behaviours are prohibited to maintain fair trading conditions and prevent excessive risk or platform exploitation.
Prohibited Trading Strategies
The following strategies and behaviours are not permitted:
- Arbitrage and latency arbitrage
- Tick scalping
- Trades held for less than 2 minutes
- High-frequency trading
- Trade stacking
- Copy trading
- Group trading
- Hedging across multiple accounts
- Martingale strategies
- Grid trading strategies
- Signal bots used for prohibited trading activity
- Aggressive or all-in trading strategies
- Platform manipulation or execution abuse
- Excessive risk and gambling behaviour
- Weekend holding without the required add-on
Trade Stacking
Trade stacking is prohibited on Instant Lite accounts.
Traders must not open multiple positions on the same or correlated instruments to split or disguise an oversized position or circumvent the 1% maximum risk rule.
Example – Trade Stacking
A trader has a $10,000 Instant Lite account.
Instead of opening one position carrying $150 risk, they open three separate positions on the same instrument, each carrying $50 risk.
Although each individual position may appear smaller, the combined exposure is $150.
This exceeds the permitted 1% maximum risk allowance of $100.
Splitting the exposure across multiple positions does not make the strategy compliant.
Minimum Trade Duration
Every position must remain open for at least 120 seconds.
Trades closed before the minimum holding period are considered rule violations.
Example – Short-Duration Trading
A trader opens a position at 14:30:00 and closes it at 14:31:20.
The position was held for 80 seconds.
This violates the minimum trade duration requirement.
Gambling & Aggressive Trading Behaviour
Using 80% or more of your account equity as margin is classified as excessive risk and gambling behaviour under TTT Markets’ general trading policies.
Margin utilisation is calculated using:
Used Margin ÷ Current Equity × 100
Because the calculation uses current equity, floating profit and loss can affect margin utilisation while positions remain open.
Example – Margin Utilisation
A trader has:
- Current Equity: $10,000
- Used Margin: $7,000
Their margin utilisation is:
$7,000 ÷ $10,000 × 100 = 70%
This remains below the maximum permitted threshold.
However, if their used margin increases to $8,000 while equity remains at $10,000:
$8,000 ÷ $10,000 × 100 = 80%
This reaches the prohibited margin utilisation threshold.
Important Information
All trading activity is subject to monitoring and review.
Violations of prohibited trading strategies or account risk limits may result in an account breach and the loss of payout eligibility.
